Unité d’intervention OCAL de Seme Nigeria — Sensibilisation médicale et autonomisation
Le mardi 11 novembre 2025, le Commandement de Seme du Nigeria Customs Service a organisé une initiative de santé communautaire intitulée « Customs Cares » dans les casernes des douanes à la frontière de Seme.
L’Unité d’intervention OCAL de Seme Nigeria (UI) a été invitée à participer et a tenu un stand consacré à la sensibilisation et au dépistage du cancer du sein.
Des services de dépistage du VIH ont également été proposés, en partenariat avec l’Unité d’intervention de Krake et l’ONG CEPHO.
La Première Dame du Nigeria Customs Service, épouse du Contrôleur Général venue d’Abuja, a visité le stand et a exprimé son appréciation.
Résultats obtenus :
Sensibilisation collective et démonstration de l’auto-examen des seins
74 femmes dépistées pour des signes ou symptômes de cancer du sein
3 femmes orientées vers une prise en charge médicale
128 personnes ont bénéficié du dépistage du VIH
2 femmes testées positives, immédiatement référées pour un suivi médical
Une initiative réussie et porteuse d’impact, qui renforce la prévention, la santé et l’autonomisation des communautés frontalières.

OCAL Intervention Unit (UI), Seme Nigeria — Medical Outreach and Empowerment
On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the Seme Command of the Nigeria Customs Service organized a community health initiative titled “Customs Cares” at the Customs Barracks, Seme Border.
The OCAL Intervention Unit (UI) of Seme Nigeria was invited to participate and was allocated a stand dedicated to breast cancer awareness and screening.
HIV Testing Services were also provided, in collaboration with the Krake Intervention Unit and partner NGO CEPHO.
The First Lady of the Nigeria Customs Service, wife of the Controller General from Abuja, visited the stand and expressed her appreciation.
Key achievements:
Group sensitization and demonstration of self-breast examination
74 women screened for breast cancer signs/symptoms
3 women referred for medical follow-up
128 individuals participated in HIV testing
2 females tested positive and were immediately referred for treatment
A successful and impactful outreach, strengthening prevention, health, and community empowerment.
